A unique public art and historical collection of mostly everyday objects with Opava themes will be presented to Opava citizens as part of their visit to Hláska town hall. The secretary of the Opava City Council, Tomáš Elis, has managed to collect these diverse exhibits over nearly two decades. He has thus built on the city’s collection of paintings, which he discovered after taking up his post. In cooperation with experts, he made an inventory of the paintings, some of which had to be restored, thus forming the basis of the future collection. Today, the collection contains 250 objects, and around 70 will be permanently displayed.
