Study of the project of a new museum exhibition of Dana and Emil Zátopek in Šustal Villa in Kopřivnice

The exhibition of Emil and Dana Zátopek on the 1st floor of Šustal Villa has the ambition to present the life and personality of Emil Zátopek in various contexts, and in a way that will attract both the expert as well as the casual visitor. The aim of the exhibition is to present Emil Zátopek as a person, as a native, as a sportsman and as an exceptional personality.

It is not, however, an exhibition aimed at building or supporting what we could call the legend of Emil Zátopek, nor is it an adoration of the world significance of the undoubtedly unique world records and achievements of the genius athlete at the World Olympics. These realities are used in the exhibition, but the emphasis is on other phenomena.
